Mount Fuji (富士山) (3776 m)

Comment: Mountfujiguide has plenty of information. Also many other webpages like Hiking in Japan and books will tell you many a thing. So I just make a quick recommendation.
Recommendation: The nicest path to walk, least danger of falling rocks, and smallest number of people are probably on the Gotemba-Trail. Especially for going down it is great, because in the lower part you can just run downhill through the dust. It is longer than the other trails, but from the sixth station of Fujinomiya trail there is a quick cross, which is worth the extra hour or so.
